🎄Issue #25: A Year in Review
A quick year recap of the best of Between the Lines this past year
💬 Welcome to issue #25 of Between the Lines
It’s hard to believe, but somehow it’s already the middle of December and less than 10 days until Christmas. With the end of 2021 in sight, we wanted to do a quick recap for Between the Lines and share some of the highlights of our year. We are also doing a special feature on three Claremont undergrads that are on the lookout for full-time internships next semester via CMC’s Silicon Valley program. They’re looking for opportunities across fintech, venture capital, transportation, and more.
We also wanted to let you know that we plan to take the next two weeks off for a quick holiday hibernation to get some time back to spend with loved ones over the holidays. We’ll be back to our regular programming in January, but until then, dig into today’s issue and have a phenomenal holiday season!

📊 6th Street Stats: A Year in Review
What a year! As we near the next inning of this unusual, world-is-almost-but-not-quite-but-will-it-ever-be-the-same-era, while these times are not without their challenges, we wanted to take a moment to look back at where we’ve come from. The old adage goes that “Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.” We’re 9.5 years away from 10 years, but we’re proud of how far we’ve come in the last six months!
Today marks the publication of our 25th issue. From our 1st issue back in June to today, December 16th, we’ve managed to interview leading political figures, chart entrepreneurial histories of the early days of the Claremont Colleges, launch a jobs board that’s led to new career journeys for members of our community, and a whole lot more. We’ve been able to do all this because of the incredible accomplishments and generosity of members of our community. It’s a good day when we read about another #Claremonster getting after it, a great day when hearing from our readers, and we’re over the moon when we find out about some IRL ‘thing’ that happens because of our work (re-connecting with an old friend, a hire, an investment…you get the picture). YOU are the reason why we spend our free time nerding out and sharing stories from this special community. So, thank you for your valuable time, and attention, and contributions, and don’t be a stranger. We love hearing from you.
Below is a brief recap of what we’ve accomplished in 2021. We can’t wait for what 2022 holds. Read our full re-cap below!👇
